Chicago native Chanelle Truvillion developed a love for music at the tender age of ten years old. Growing up with a single mom, facing the challenges of living day to day with an absent father was a struggle. With her mom having to keep up with bills and make sure food was on the table daily made it hard to attend auditions and afford the cost of traveling needed to support her singing career. Even under the circumstances, Chanelle was able to find comfort in writing songs and learning to play the guitar. Still at ten years old, Chanelle entered a talent contest held at Dawson College. She performed a song written and arranged by her entitled, “I Want To Say Thank You.” Singing and playing the guitar at the same time was no match for her competition. Chanelle took home first place and a $300 prize. Having an interests in modeling and acting as well, she began to take her career seriously, thus prompting her to visit John Powers Talent Agency, where she was invited to come back and work. With a dream so big, it seemed so far away because money was tight and the agency wanted thousands of dollars in which she and her family could not afford. Never the less, she still found a way to continue to cultivate her talents by attending one of Chicago's leading creative arts academy, Little Black Pearl. After graduating high school at Little Black Pearl Arts and Design Academy, her future began to look brighter and she started meeting new people, one of which is her producer, Jonny Yayo. They began to work together heavily, spending hours and hours in the studio writing and recording. Together they have released her latest singles "Purge, Midnight Hour and Complicated". Chanelle Truvillion attended SXSW in march of 2017, hitting the stage three times and networking with other artists, DJs and producers as well as performing in Atlanta during the A3C Hip-hop festival. With talents ranging from singing, rapping, dancing, songwriting and modeling, calling her a triple threat would be an understatement and an injustice to all that she is and will essentially become.
